Valkyrie Symphony - Shredder

6th piece from request, the chars of his webcomic, Valkyrie Symphony ([link]) .

We decided to go for a more realistic path, so the chars will be portraited a bit different from the comic.

Shredder in his own words: "He's the second tallest one, wears a trenchcoat, a fedora, and a blue scarf on his neck. What we see of his skin is horribly burned, like Freddy Krueger or Darkman, and he's covered in filthy, loosely tied bandages. The bandages completely cover his right eye, mainly because there is no right eye".



It's enemies time!! And I admit, I'm in love with Shredder. I never - NEVER - thought I could do a so nice looking burned, zombie-ish kind of char. I was terrified, to be honest. And, not only thanks fo the amazing head reference I used ('cause I did the hands by myself and these look scary as well), I was able to draw a convincing hidious char! Yay for me!

For what I've read in the web comic, Shredder is a cynical and ironic char. So I sacrifice his blue scarf in the altar of urban fashion sense of style, lol. I wanted to make him look a bit of urban cowboy, a hunter in the asphalt jungle. His t-shirt (with a sugar skull and the words "keep staring") is the touch of color which makes the difference in the picture.

AI, SBP and PSP, a mix of 4 different pics to the base and around 8 hours of work between 2 days.
